Air Sewa Portal App: The Civil Aviation Minister, Mr. Ashok Gajpathi Raju launched AirSewa web portal and mobile app on November 25, 2016. The AirSewa portal and the mobile app are developed to provide a hassle-free air travel experience to its fliers.
It provides various services including a mechanism for grievances redressal and back-office operations for grievance handling. Here we will discuss on how to check flight schedule & status or register complaints with this service.
Aims of the AirSewa app
The Civil Aviation Ministry is much committed to services offered to its flight passengers and the app aims to identify problems faced by people by getting feedback from them and make corrective measures as well as to improve its services. The app aims to offer convenient and hassle-free travel experience.
Some of the common problems faced by people are flight delays, getting refund, long queue, complaints of lost baggage, lack of adequate facilities at airports etc. The portal as well as the app provides a mechanism for redressal of grievances and respond to passenger grievances in a systematic way rather than in an ad-hoc manner.
It provides a common platform to bring various players who are a part of the civil aviation under the same umbrella.
Features of the AirSewa App
The app is available for Android and iOS devices.
The app provides various services that include grievances redressal, airport information, flight details, the status of the flight, back-office operations for the handling of grievance and much more. Users can also access Wi-Fi services; get details about wheelchair services, Resting services offered at the airport etc on the app and the portal.
Users can even upload images and videos along with an elaborate description about the grievances. They will be provided a unique reference number for each of the grievances they have reported. The reference number will also be sent through an email and SMS.
The reference number can be used to track the status and response to their grievances on the portal and the app. Once the grievance is addressed and closed, the user also gets an option to provide feedback about the redressal of the grievances; they can also rate the level of their experience and satisfaction for it.
Nodal officers are assigned the task of addressing the grievances raised by travelers. They will communicate with the concerned departments. Response addressing the grievances from the nodal officer will be sent to the concerned person through SMS alert as well as email.
