Mangte Chungneijang Mary Kom Wiki, Awards, Medals and Biography: She is known as her stage name Mary Kom or Magnificant Mary. She is an Indian boxer. She was born in Kangathei, in Churachanpur district of Manipur on 24 November 1982. She is a daughter of Mangte Tonpa Kom and Mangte Akham Kom. She is getting married with Onler Kom after dating of 4 years in 2005. This couple has getting twins baby boy child.

She completed her study from different schools like, Lohtak Christian Model High School, Moirang, St. Xavier Catholic School, Moirang, Adimjati High School, Imphal and have graduate from Churachandpur College.

From childhood she had interest in sports, mainly in Athletics. She inspired from Dingko Singh and became a boxer in 2000. She is getting boxing training at Khuman Lapak, Imphal under M. Narnjit Singh coach.

Mary is one and only woman from India is a five-time World Boxing champion among the world. She was also an only woman boxer who has won a medal in each one of the six world championships and Indian woman boxer to get qualification for the 2012 Summer Olympics, competing in the flyweight (51 kg) category and there she is the winner of bronze medal. She is on the 4th rank AIBA World Women’s Ranking Flyweight category.

She has won different championships like, silver medal at the 2008 Asian Women’s Boxing Championship in India, fourth successive gold medal at the AIBA Women’s World Boxing Championship in China, gold medal at the 2009 Asian Indoor Games in Vietnam, gold medal at the Asian Women’s Boxing Championship in Kazakhstan, win fifth gold medal at the AIBA Women’s World Boxing Championship in Barbados, won Bronze medal at 51 kg class – the lowest in the contest, gold in the 48 kg class at the Asian Women’s Cup in China, gold medal in the 51 kg class at the Asian Women’s Boxing Championship in Mongolia and

Her life’s big achievement is Bronze medal in Olympic held in China. For this being a name of their state, Manipur government rewarded her with Rs 5 million and two acres of land.

She became famous through launched her autobiography, Unbreakable, at the Forum Mall in Bangalore on 11th December 2013.

Mary Kom has started India’s first female fight club at Imphal, there is giving training to girls to defend themselves against sexual violence in India.

In upcoming days a biographical film about life of Mary Kom and it is made by Sanjay Leela Bhanusali. The leading role played by Priyanka Chopra. Movie will be release on 2nd October 2014.
